City Manager / Georgeanne White

As City Manager, Georgeanne serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and oversees the City’s day-to-day operations. She is responsible for implementing Mayor Dyer’s One Fresno vision and enacting the public policy priorities adopted by the Mayor and City Council.  She exercises control over all departments within the City, with the exception of the City Attorney, City Clerk, and City Council.  A City Hall veteran with experience in both the mayoral and council arms of government, Georgeanne has a deep understanding of what it takes to work with over 4,500 City staff and community members to ensure City government works for the people.

Georgeanne’s City of Fresno executive leadership experience stretches back over two decades.  She has served as a Council Chief of Staff, Assistant Department Director, and Chief of Staff for former Mayors Alan Autry and Ashley Swearengin.  Before returning to City Hall as an Assistant City Manager in 2021, Georgeanne was the principal of a specialty consulting firm with expertise in organizational management and administration, project management, government affairs, and public policy.

Georgeanne has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in business law, from California State University, Fresno.

Georgeanne was named both a City of Fresno Woman of the Year and a Marjaree Mason Center Top 10 Professional Women Honoree in 2022.

She is married, has two children, and enjoys reading and binge-watching Netflix.
