We Work For You: Kayla Garcia-Shields

This week on ‘We Work For You’, we’re highlighting Kayla Garcia-Shields! She’s a Program Manager with the PARCS Department, and one of the programs she oversees is the popular Aquatics Program. Through this program, the City is able to offer recreational swimming, senior aerobics classes, free swim lessons for Fresno kids, and more – and Kayla oversees the team that makes it happen. She started with the City nearly 16 years ago and says she pursued a career with PARCS after seeing how big an impact the department has on the community. Thank you for everything you and the team do for Fresno, Kayla!

Mike Mooneyham

This week on ‘We Work For You’, we’re highlighting Mike Mooneyham! He’s a Licensed Professional Engineer with the Capital Projects Department, and he’s the project manager on several big projects in Fresno – including multiple upcoming fire stations and the highly-anticipated Senior Activity Center! He says he’s happy to play a role in these impactful projects that benefit our departments and the public at large. Thank you for all you do, Mike!

Carmela Gonzales

This week on ‘We Work For You’, we’re highlighting Carmela Gonzales! She works in the Teletype unit at the Fresno Police Department, where she and her teammates enter critical information into databases that are shared with other agencies. Sharing that information helps the department broaden its search and can help solve stolen vehicle cases, missing person cases, and much more. She says she’s proud of their work behind the scenes and the part that it plays in keeping the department running! Thank you for all you do, Carmela!

We Work For You: Cliff Hogg

This week on ‘We Work For You’, we’re highlighting Cliff Hogg!

He’s a Chief Surveyor in Capital Projects/Construction Management. He oversees the field survey crews that go out and collect data for future development – when they bring that data back, Cliff puts it all together in a map program that’s sent off for design. He also flies a drone that maps large areas quickly and efficiently, saving hours of work in the field.

Wherever there’s construction in Fresno, there’s a good chance Cliff and the team are involved. Thank you for your work, Cliff!
