Registration & Reservations
Adults and children of all ages can enjoy our variety of facilities and programs. Registration may be required for youth and adult sports as well as park and program activities being offered by the City of Fresno. Reservations are required for exclusive facility use and encouraged for any repetitive, organized use of facilities maintained or managed by the City.
Activity and Event Registration
The City of Fresno offers numerous programs with the focus of bringing community members together for recreation, science education, computer training, fitness, and more. Our youth recreation activities are created to meet the needs of the whole child… mind, body, and spirit. The programs offered at Fresno’s neighborhood centers enhance the physical, cultural, intellectual, and social experiences of Fresno youth. We encourage you to participate in any one of our low- or no-cost activities and programs.

Athletic Facility Reservation
The City of Fresno offers athletic facilities across 42 parks locations with multi-use fields, multi-surface courts, gymnasiums, and more. Those scheduling an athletic facility for leagues, tournament, clinics, programs, special events, or activities that collect revenue can apply online in advance and confirm the availability of their facility. Residents who want a space for a one-time recreational event or practice can also reserve an athletic facility through our online process. You may request to reserve any athletic facility that is available during that time. We look forward to helping you!
The City of Fresno Parks, Arts, Recreation and Community Services Department provides two ways to apply for facilities:
Occasional Reservations
Who can reserve?
Individuals playing with friends or family. This is not for leagues or programs. Applicant or nonprofit representative must be at least 18 years of age or older. Any individual may reserve no more than twice per month.
When can you reserve?
Same day reservations may be available for athletic facility reservations. Same day reservations accept facilities as is. Reservations requiring site preparation must be made at least 72 hours in advance but no more than 4 weeks in advance.

Advanced Reservations
Who can reserve?
Advance reservations are for leagues (regular practice and games), tournaments, clinics, programs, special events, or for activities that collect revenue. Applicant or nonprofit representative must be at least 18 years of age or older.
When can you reserve?
Advanced reservations can book recurring reservations for three months at a time. Advanced reservation applications shall be submitted quarterly. The Department will review all requests and approve field reservations in accordance with the ‘Review Process and Allocation of Facilities’ section of the policy.

Customer must complete athletic facility application online to reserve fields, courts, or other city facilities.
Science
The Highway City Science Center operates programming citywide, dedicated to fostering a love of science and providing engaging learning opportunities for youth. Our programs are designed around the best practices of science education, emphasizing hands-on experiences to explore and observe. We offer Next Generation Science Standards lesson plans to enhance participants’ knowledge in life science, physics, chemistry, engineering, and technology.

Reservation Options:
Option 1: Mobile Science Unit (MSU) at Your Event Site
What’s Included:
- – The Mobile Science Unit vehicle at your event location
- – Access to up to 60 exhibits
- – Projects available upon request (subject to availability)
What is the Mobile Science Unit (MSU)?
This 45-foot science lab on wheels features exhibits that spark curiosity and imagination, supporting knowledge growth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Option 2: Science Center Field Trip
What’s Included:
- – An exclusive visit to the Highway City Center at 5140 N. State St, Fresno, CA 93722 (must provide your own transportation)
- – Guided exploration of the Science Center
- – Engaging science projects led by our Science Team
Capacity:
The Science Center can host up to 50 guests.
Option 3: Science Workshop at Your Event Site

All Other Reservations
The City of Fresno PARCS department has a variety of rooms available at our community and neighborhood centers to reserve including auditoriums, meeting rooms, gymnasiums, recreation rooms, and kitchens. Refund or Cancellation Request
At the City of Fresno PARCS Department, we understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to request a refund or cancellation for your reservation or registration. If you would like to request a refund or cancellation, please click on the “Refund or Cancellation Request” link below. We ask that all cancellation requests are made at least 10 business days prior to the start date of your reservation or registration.
Please Note:
Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund. Our Customer Service Team will contact you within 5 business days regarding your submission. All refunds will be subject to a $15 processing fee.
You’ve Requested Your Refund: What Happens Next?
- Submission: After you submit your refund request, it will automatically be forwarded to the PARCS Department for review.
- Review Process: The PARCS Department will contact you within 5 business days regarding the status of your refund request.
- Refund Processing:
- If your refund is approved, it will be issued in the same format as your original payment.
- Check Refunds: If your refund is approved via check, please allow 4-6 weeks for processing. A check will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the original reservation.
- Credit Card Refunds: If your refund is approved for the card on file, the refund will be processed within 5 business days of approval.
- Refund Denial: If your request is denied or missing required information, you will receive an email within 5 business days outlining the reason for denial or listing any missing items.
