In fact, she’s known as “Mom” to many who visit the park. 💚 She helps organize and implement activities and works to create a fun, safe place for kids to be themselves. The City of Fresno offers a used motor oil program for residents – and it’s run by Donna Leslie. She’s worked for the City for more than 30 years and says she knows this work is making a difference for residents and the entire city.

For more than 20 years, Devin McGuire has served Fresno residents at the Fresno Fire Department. As a Battalion Chief, McGuire works to train firefighters and make sure they’re ready for anything. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒 He also leads a peer support team that provides a place for Fresno firefighters to talk about traumatic calls and struggles.

The City of Fresno has thousands of employees who use computers in their day-to-day work, and Melisa Mac Eacheron helps make sure all those devices are working. 🖥️⌨️ She helps the other departments serve the public without interruption – including PARCS, Public Works, and more!

When buildings are damaged and have to be rehabilitated or completely knocked down, Tim Schulz works with property owners and oversees the process. His work leads to safer neighborhoods and improved curb appeal for people who live near the property – and as a new grandfather, he says improving our neighborhoods means more to him than ever. Alan Jacobsen is a Fresno FAX supervisor and an avid cyclist – and he’s currently cycling across America to raise money for Valley Children’s! In 2021, Alan’s grandson was diagnosed with cancer and treated at VCH. He’s now in remission and Alan is riding to raise money for the hospital. Alan left began his ride in Huntington Beach on February 25 and will end his trek on March 18 in Florida.

Marco Naranjo grew up attending the City of Fresno’s T-ball program. Now, he’s leading kids who are going through PARCS sports programs just like he did! 🏀⚾️⚽️🏈

Agencies across Fresno, including first responders, rely on radio to communicate and coordinate their responses – and LE Escobar ensures those radio towers never stop working. 📻 Without LE, agencies like the Fresno Police Department, Fresno Fire Department, and Fresno FAX would lose the ability to communicate with dispatch.

The Fresno Police Department Records Division is responsible for keeping track of police reports and retrieving them for residents, and Linda Moses is an important part of that team. By helping people retrieve those reports and ensuring the information is correct, Linda helps victims in their pursuit of justice.
