Children who hang out at Inspiration Park are sure to know Deserie Martinez. In fact, she’s known as “Mom” to many who visit the park. π She helps organize and implement activities and works to create a fun, safe place for kids to be themselves. Alan Jacobsen is a Fresno FAX supervisor and an avid cyclist – and he’s currently cycling across America to raise money for Valley Children’s! In 2021, Alan’s grandson was diagnosed with cancer and treated at VCH. He’s now in remission and Alan is riding to raise money for the hospital. Alan left began his ride in Huntington Beach on February 25 and will end his trek on March 18 in Florida.
