“We have allowed the new norm to be one of blight, litter, and debris within our business complexes, streets, neighborhoods, and freeways. The trash is so visible, yet many drive by without even noticing it. That must change.” – Mayor Jerry Dyer
Beautify Fresno is one of the Mayor’s top priorities with a mission to inspire everyone to take pride in their community and to show them that we can all take action to make our community a clean and beautiful place to live.
It’s a city-wide effort to clean our neighborhoods, streets, and highways by partnering with local organizations and individuals in the community. Beautify Fresno is affiliated with Keep America Beautiful and will develop public/private partnerships with the goal of establishing sustainable programs to effectively tackle trash in Fresno. The City will also work with partners across the community to provide weed, litter, and graffiti abatement, and support community-driven clean-up activities.
The goal is to host year-round cleanup and beautification events throughout Fresno and provide training – and trash bags – to residents who organize their own neighborhood cleanups through a new Adopt-A-Block, Adopt-A-Trail, and Adopt-An-Alley programs.
We invite service clubs, churches, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, professional organizations, anyone who wants to lend a hand, please consider hosting a clean-up event whether it’s on your street or a neighborhood that you’ve never visited. For more information or to volunteer for future Beautify Fresno events, call (559) 621-8626 or email info@beautifyfresno.org.
The vitality of Fresno relies on our willingness to roll up our sleeves and contribute to Fresno’s health and vitality as we work together toward a common mission to improve our community.
