What’s New in 2024?
Fresno Organics
Recycling Program
As part of a new Organic Waste Law (Senate Bill 1383), Fresno is getting on board with recycling organics. It’s new, and it’s easy to do your part — just place your food scraps in the Green cart instead of the Gray cart.
It’s Easy to Recycle Your Organics
Keep your organics, like food scraps and spoiled produce, separate from your trash, then put them in your Green cart along with yard waste.
Store food scraps and spoiled produce in a small container in your kitchen or in your freezer before moving to the Green cart.
Put food scraps directly in the Green cart after cooking.
What Goes Where?
Using your Green cart is convenient and fun. Here’s a look at what you can place in your Green, Blue, and Gray carts.
