Victor Valdez, Licensed Professional Engineer
Victor came to the City of Fresno after a 15-year career with a private transportation engineering firm in Hawaii. Since starting with Design, he has welcomed every opportunity to assist the Design Division, he has taken on challenging projects like the Cesar Chavez Boulevard renaming, the ATP-funded CrossWalk & Roll (new traffic signal and HAWK), and now the Peach Overlay project (which has a very demanding schedule). Victor works with his design staff and our client departments to ensure consistent and meaningful progress is made with careful engineering consideration, proactive communication and collaboration, and always with a smile and great attitude.
Whether he’s participating in Capital Project Department mush ball tournaments, challenging co-workers to pushup contests, or actively engaging in a serious project discussion, Victor embodies both the spirit of public service and the professionalism of consulting engineering, every day.
