State law will soon require Commercial, Industrial and Institutional (CII) properties to remove non-functional turf (NFT).
*A minimum of 200 square feet of lawn must be converted.

To start the process, complete your rebate application through your WaterWeb Customer Portal.
Next, a City of Fresno Landscape Water Conservation Specialist will schedule a required consultation.
After the consultation, and upon receiving approval, begin your lawn conversion project.
Finished your project? Complete the post-project questionnaire and schedule a post-conversion inspection.

Commercial Property Owners:
Now is the time to convert thirsty lawn that is
costing your company money!

AB1572 was signed into law in 2023 and requires the reduction of non-functional turf (NFT) – lawn – throughout California. The new law bans irrigation of NFT with potable – drinking – water on Commercial, Industrial and Institutional (CII) properties, including:
- Schools
- HOAs
- Industrial and institutional sites
- Common interest developments
