Mandatory Training

ALL EMPLOYEE ANTI-HARASSMENT AND ANTI-DISCRIMINATION REFRESHER TRAINING (In PeopleSoft: AHD001)

Q. Who has to take this course?
All City of Fresno employees.

Q. How often do I have to take it?
Once every three years.


AB 1234 (ETHICS) TRAINING (In PeopleSoft: AB1234)

Q. Who has to take this course?
Members of the Council.
Appointed members of boards/commissions/other legislative bodies (that receive compensation or reimbursement of expenses).
Employees who must file Form 700s.

Q. How often do I have to take it?
Must receive two hours of ethics training every 2 years.
Those new to City Service must complete this training within the first year of service.


AB 1825 (SUPERVISOR-LEVEL SEXUAL HARASSMENT) TRAINING (In PeopleSoft: AB 1825)

Q. Who has to take this course?
All City employees in a supervisory position.

Q. How often do I have to take it?
New Supervisors must take this within six months of appointment.
Existing supervisors must receive two hours of this training every 2 years.

Interactive Training Offerings

AB 1825 (SUPERVISOR-LEVEL SEXUAL HARASSMENT) TRAINING

As mandated by Assembly Bill 1825, City employees hired or promoted into a supervisory position are required to take Sexual Harassment training within six months of appointment. In addition, any City employees serving in a supervisory role are required to participate in a 2-hour Sexual Harassment refresher training every two years.

We have contracted with a vendor to provide online AB 1825 training which meets the requirements of this California law.


AMERICAN MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (AMA) PODCASTS

AMA is an international leader in management training and professional development for individuals, teams, and entire organizations. And a podcast is an audio file recorded in MP3 format that is made available for download to your computer or MP3 player such as an Apple iPod.

These AMA podcasts will be a weekly show covering a variety of topic areas. A new “episode” will be added to the AMA website each week, so check back often. CAL-ICMA TELEPHONE COACHING PANELS

With the understanding that many local government executives are on the retirement track, the California International City/County Management Association (Cal-ICMA) Coaching Program aims to support the development of new and aspiring Managers. The Telephone Coaching Panels are one avenue for this development.

Legal Based Training Offerings

AB 1234 (ETHICS) TRAINING (In PeopleSoft: AB1234)

As mandated by Assembly Bill 1234, members of the Council; appointed members of boards, commissions or other legislative bodies that receive compensation or reimbursement of expenses; and employees who must file Form 700s/Statements of Economic Interests must receive two hours of ethics training every 2 years and those new to City Service must complete this training within the first year of service. For more detail on when this training is offered, please visit PeopleSoft Self-Service 

You may also satisfy this training mandate by participating in free AB 1234 online training  sponsored by the Fair Political Practices Commission. If that option is desired, you must spend a minimum of 2 hours on the online training course for it to satisfy the training mandate. No PeopleSoft Learning and Development registration is required for the online training option.

LIEBERT CASSIDY WHITMORE/CENTRAL VALLEY EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS CONSORTIUM (In PeopleSoft: the LCW series)
