Nicole DeMera
Chief of Staff
Nicole has worked as the Chief of Staff to Councilmember Garry Bredefeld in District 6 since January 2017. She provides support to the Councilmember, handles the calendar and the daily operations in the office. Nicole oversees the District 6 budget and plans the infrastructure projects for the Northeast area.
Matthew Gee
District Director
Matthew is proud to be raised in Fresno County his entire life, graduating from Buchanan High School, he considers the Central Valley and Fresno California’s best kept secret.
Joining the City of Fresno in January 2025, Matthew first started his career working as the Outreach Coordinator for the Fresno County Republican Party, from there he went on to work for a number of congressional and state election campaigns. Most recent to his start with the City Council, Matthew worked as a Field Representative for retired Assemblymember Devon Mathis and as a Donor Relations Officer fundraising for Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action.
Currently Matthew sits on the State Board for the California Young Republican Federation, is an Associate Delegate to the California Republican Party, and is a member of the Fresno County Republican Party Central Committee. In his free time, Matthew enjoys snowboarding, attending country music concerts, traveling with his family, and taking roping and rodeo lessons at his Uncle’s ranch.
Matthew currently serves as District Director to Councilmember Nick Richardson of District 6, assisting the Councilmember in managing district operations and events.
Earl White
Legislative Aide
Born and raised in Southeast Fresno, Earl White is a proud graduate of Sunnyside High School. He is currently pursuing his studies at Fresno State, where he is a member of the university’s Mock Trial Team.
Earl brings a strong foundation of drive and dedication from his previous experience as a manager, which he now channels into his role as a legislative aide for Fresno City Council’s District 6. Passionate about public service
Addyson Shoaf
Public Affairs Assistant
Addyson “Addy” Shoaf is a scholar in the Smittcamp Family Honors College at California State University, Fresno, where she is pursuing a degree in Political Science. Growing up in Fresno County and graduating from Buchanan High School, she has developed a strong background in public service and leadership. Addy previously interned in the Fresno County Board of Supervisors office and has volunteered in local and state election campaigns, supporting voter outreach through grassroots activism.
Joining the City of Fresno in 2025, Addy serves as Public Affairs Assistant to Councilmember Nick Richardson of District 6. In this role, she assists with constituent services, supports daily office operations, and manages public communication efforts, including social media outreach. Passionate about civic engagement and community impact, Addy looks forward to serving the residents of District 6 while continuing her academic and professional journey. In her free time, Addy enjoys volunteering with her church, working out at Inferno Hot Pilates, and sipping matcha.
