The 2019 Edition of NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, will become effective in California on January 1, 2020.
There are a number of revisions in the latest edition of NFPA 72, covering the CH. 3 – Definitions, CH. 7 – Documentation, CH. 10 – Fundamentals, CH. 14 – Inspection, Testing & Maintenance, as well as CH. 17 – Initiating Devices, and finally CH. 18 – Notification.
The course objectives for this class will be to identify and discuss the most important changes found in this edition, and refresh some of the concepts found in this and older editions in NFPA 72. PCR has carefully curated these sections, so you (and your staff) don’t have to.
This class will not cover all of the new changes in NFPA 72, rather, this class is specifically designed to focus on the most relevant changes between the editions, and refresh your recollection of important concepts.
Some items that will not be covered include the new changes related to fire alarm and elevator systems, since these are advanced level concepts.
