Various Northeast Fresno Streets Closed Sunday for Two Cities Marathon & Half Event

FRESNO – A number of northeast Fresno streets will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 3, along the route of the Two Cities Marathon & Half. The course starts at 7 a.m. on Friant Road near Audubon Drive and runs along surrounding neighborhoods and into Clovis before returning to the finish line in Woodward Park.

Here is a complete list of road closures and times:

  • Friant Road (Audubon to Willow): Closed 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Shepherd Ave. (Friant to Willow, eastbound): Closed 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Shepherd Ave. (Friant to Willow, westbound): Closed 5 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Teague at the intersection of Willow Ave.: Closed 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Alluvial between Peach and Clovis avenues: Closed 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Old Town Clovis: Closed 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Here are the main alternate routes:

  • Willow Avenue, northbound and southbound: Open at all times.
  • Nees Avenue, eastbound and westbound: Open at all times.
  • Herndon Avenue, eastbound and westbound: Open at all times.
Woodward Park parking lots will be closed to the public starting at 6 a.m. and will reopen at 3 p.m.
