City of Fresno To Conduct Public Review of Fiscal Position
FRESNO – Mayor Ashley Swearengin and City Manager Mark Scott today announced that the City will conduct a public review of its fiscal position at the Fresno Convention Center’s New Exhibit Hall on Thursday, April 12, at 5:30 p.m. The review will be held in Rooms 2009-2012 at the New Exhibit Hall.
The public review is intended to provide complete transparency for the public and for interested stakeholders. During the public review, the City will present the facts concerning the City’s financial situation. It will be an open, interactive and comprehensive discussion.
As City Manager Scott recently noted, the City is in a serious fiscal condition that requires us to immediately and fully match our expenditures to our revenues. Scott will lead the discussion covering the City’s various funds (including negative fund balances), cash reserves, core services and the Fiscal Sustainability Policy.
Residents are invited to attend the session, and RSVPs are required. However, seating is limited.
