Charter Review Commission Releases Report

Fresno, CA – The nine-member City of Fresno Charter Review Commission has released a report containing its recommendations on more than 50 items it considered during a six-month-plus study of the City’s Charter.

The report includes the Commission’s recommendations on 23 Council-suggested charter revisions and more than 30 other policy suggestions that were offered during the course of its deliberations.

The Commission, formed by a City Council vote in November 2010, met at least every month from July 26, 2010, to February 7, 2012, to consider the issues.

The report is available on the City’s website at www.fresno.gov/CityClerk (scroll to 2/9/12 Report from the City of Fresno Charter Review Commission. All of the Commission’s sessions were videotaped and recorded and are available for review through the City Clerk’s Office.
