| Winter watering schedules go into effect today for all City of Fresno water customers to promote conservation during cooler weather. The rules permit landscape watering one day per week for residential and commercial customers with no restrictions on the time of day that watering can take place. As the weather cools, often bringing fog and rain, the need for landscape watering is significantly reduced. >more |

| Food scraps, fats and oils washed down the kitchen sink can result in clogged sewer lines and expensive plumbing bills, so the City of Fresno is issuing tips to help residents avoid costly problems this holiday season. Local property owners are responsible for maintaining the pipes that extend from their home to the City’s main sewer line. The City has been awarded a $5 million grant by the California Parks Department to help underwrite the cost of a Universally Accessible Park proposed for Fresno.
