The initiative offers businesses the opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation during each Fresno City Council meeting, showcasing their products and services, as well as their reasons for choosing Fresno for their base of operation. | Citing the importance of “preserving the high quality of public safety in our community,” local building industry leaders have endorsed the establishment of an Independent Police Auditor (IPA) for the City of Fresno. In a letter to Mayor Ashley Swearengin, the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Fresno/Madera Counties said the IPA will provide greater transparency for the Fresno Police Department and will provide “additional assurances for our community that proper policies and procedures are being followed.” The letter was signed by BIA Chairman John Bonadelle and Vice Chairman Darius Assemi. >more |
