Mayor Autry and Mayor Davison Agree To Their Own Bulldog Challenge

In light of the upcoming Bulldog vs Bulldog baseball matchup in Omaha beginning later today, Mayor Alan Autry has good-naturedly issued a challenge to the mayor of the city that represents the University of Georgia, Mayor Heidi Davison in Athens.

In a phone conversation today, Mayor Autry offered a good natured challenge in support of the Fresno State Bulldogs bringing the NCAA Tournament trophy home to the Valley. In the spirit of good hearted competition, Mayor Autry offered to send Mayor Davison superb Central California chocolate covered raisins should the Georgia ball players overtake Fresno’s Diamond Dogs in the finals of the World Series.

Mayor Davison was quick to take up the challenge and respond that the good people of Athens would send one of the three products they proudly claim - Georgia peaches, almonds, or their sweet Vidalia onions should Fresno Bulldogs beat the Georgia ‘Dogs.
