Enterprise Zone Final Designation
The City of Fresno Economic Development Department, together with the State of California Housing and Community Development Department will announce the finalization of the City of Fresno Enterprise Zone on:

Businesses located in the City of Fresno Enterprise Zone benefit from significant tax credits. In FY 2007, an estimated $72 million in hiring tax credits were awarded to 240 businesses in the City of Fresno Enterprise Zone. Other incentives include: sales & use tax credits, business expense deductions, net operating loss carryovers, and net interest deductions for lenders.
The original City of Fresno Enterprise Zone designation was awarded in October, 1986 and expired in 2006. The new Enterprise Zone designation is effective retroactive to October, 2006 and will expire in 2021.
The City of Fresno Economic Development Department will be holding an Enterprise Zone Resource Fair and Workshop from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th at the Exhibit Hall as well. Hundreds of businesses from all over the City and County are expected to attend to learn more about how to make this valuable incentive zone work for them.
