City Of Fresno Hosts Meeting For Veterans Boulevard And State Route 99 Interchange Project
The City of Fresno invites the public to attend an Open House meeting regarding the future development of the Veterans Boulevard/State Route 99 Interchange project.
Since 1984, the City of Fresno has been planning for a new six-lane super arterial roadway in northwest Fresno. Previously known as the Herndon-Grantland Diagonal, Veterans Boulevard will provide a vital link to the 99 Freeway for Northwest Fresno.
The Open House meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the River Bluff Elementary Multi-Purpose Room located at 6150 W. Palo Alto Avenue.
Staff from the City of Fresno Public Works Department, Caltrans and the City’s engineering consultant, OmniMeans will be on site to present preliminary plans for the project as well as answer any resident questions or concerns such as:
- Will my property be affected?
- What is the timeline for building the interchange at Highway 99?
- When will the rest of Veterans Boulevard be constructed?
- How will this affect my commute?
- How will the current interchanges at Shaw and Herndon be affected?
For more information regarding this project and the Open House Meeting contact the City of Fresno, Traffic Engineering Division at (559) 621-8800.
