City's Downtown Movie Night A Huge Success

The City of Fresno Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) is excited to share it’s opening night success of Comcast Movies in the Park that took place downtown, Friday night May 25th at Eaton Plaza adjacent the historic water tower. More than 500 Fresno residents of all ages turned out to enjoy music, a rock wall, two bounce houses, face painting, a balloon artists, plenty of great food and a screening of Happy Feet!

Participants were pleased to have the opportunity to enjoy a great family activity at no cost and were encouraged by the ease of free parking, the convenience of on-site food vendors and the access to fun, family entertainment in downtown Fresno. Many were surprised to learn that Friday night was just the beginning and the free movies would last all summer long. Residents can visit for the entire summer schedule. The PRCS division has a minimum of 3 more ‘festival’ nights planned with great children’s activities. Plus, get ready movie fans - this Friday is Napoleon Dynamite!
