Settlement Reached for Campus Pointe Project at Fresno State

The City of Fresno, California State University Fresno, and Kashian Enterprises are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached on the Campus Pointe development, averting pending litigation.

Fresno City Manager Andy Souza commented, “This agreement is in keeping with our principals to ensure that development pays its fair share for their impacts to the City while recognizing the unique and vital role that Fresno State plays in our community. The City and Fresno State worked collaboratively to create this win-win solution for the University, City and the public.”

Cynthia Teniente-Matson, Vice President for Administration for Fresno State stated, “We are pleased that we were able to reach agreement with the City and avoid future litigation. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort put forth by city staff to finalize this matter. The Campus Pointe project will enhance the university and provide housing and services to both the university and the surrounding community.”

In addition to the developer agreeing to pay applicable city impact fees, Fresno State has agreed to provide to the City the necessary right-of-way to complete the future planned improvements at the Willow and Bullard intersection and the multi-use trail adjacent to Willow Avenue.
