City Residents Have A Second Chance To Rid Themselves Of Their Spare Tires
(FRESNO , CA May 18, 2006) – City of Fresno provides residents the opportunity to get rid of their spare tires for free at the City of Fresno Waste Tire Amnesty Day event.
The City of Fresno Code Enforcement Waste Tire team will be conducting their second Waste Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 8:00am through 1:00pm at a Bullard High School.
Citizens who reside in the stated target area may dispose of up to six tires for free while those who reside outside of the target area may dispose of their spare tires for a one dollar fee.
Event location: Bullard High School (parking lot) , 5445 N. Palm Avenue
Target area: (S/N) Shaw to Fresno City limits , (E/W) West to Fresno City limits
Residents within the focus area can dispose of 6 tires for free with proof of residency.
- All other residents will be allowed to dispose of tires for a fee of one dollar per tire. Tires with rims will be accepted.
- No tractor or diesel tires will be accepted. This event is for residents only not businesses.
Funding for this project is made possible through a grant by California Integrated Waste Management Board.
