City Of Fresno Seeks Community Input On Future Of Fulton Mall

Recognizing that community input is critical to the success of the future of the Fulton Mall, the public is invited to share their ideas, concerns and vision for the future of Fresno’s downtown area that is considered to be the Fulton Mall; also known as the Central business District Redevelopment Area, bounded by Tuolumne, Van Ness, Inyo, and Broadway and H streets.

The City welcomes citizens to the following meetings:

Wednesday, July 12
Ted C. Wills Center
770 N. San Pablo
6:00 – 8:00pm

Friday, July 14
Arte Americas
1630 Van Ness Ave.
10:00am - 12:00pm

Monday, July 17
T.W. Patterson Mezzanine
2014 Tulare
6:00 – 8:00pm

These meetings will work to record concerns, suggestions, problems, future vision, and the necessary components that the community believes will work to revitalize the area. Additional meetings will be held to present specific options based on various research together with the community input gathered from previous meetings. These Open House Meetings will be held on the following dates and times:

11:00am – 1:00pm

A City Council Workshop will be held on September 19, 2006 to present City Council with the options and feedback from the public on the proposed options.

Two final public meetings, to be scheduled at a later date, will be held for additional public input and recommendations that include direction from the September 19 Council workshop.

City Council and the Redevelopment Agency will meet to make the final decision on the direction to proceed toward downtown revitalization.
