CITY RESIDENTS CAN RID THEMSELVES OF THEIR SPARE TIRES
(FRESNO , CA April 12, 2006) – City of Fresno provides residents the opportunity to get rid of their spare tires for free at the City of Fresno Waste Tire Amnesty Day event.
The City of Fresno Code Enforcement Waste Tire team will be conducting the first of many Waste Tire Amnesty Day events of the year on Saturday, April 15, 2006 from 8:00am through 1:00pm at Fresno’s Rotary West Park.
Citizens who reside in the stated target area may dispose of up to six tires for free while those who reside outside of the target area may dispose of their spare tires for a one dollar fee.

3202 E. Gettysburg Ave
Target area: (N/S) Shaw to Shields Ave
(W/E) West to Chestnut Ave
- Residents within the focus area will receive cards through the mail explaining the process for disposing up to 6 tires for free with proof of residency.
- All other residents will be allowed to dispose of tires for a fee of one dollar per tire.
- No tractor or diesel tires will be accepted. This event is for residents only not businesses.
