Fresno Citizens Academy

The Fresno Citizens Academy is a free 8-week program designed to provide community members with a better understanding of the workings of their local government. The Citizen's Academy covers a wide range of topics, such as: how the annual budget is developed; how public safety resources are deployed; and what the city does to promote and support the local economy - to name just a few. The goal of the Fresno Citizens Academy is to better equip the community to fully participate in the process of building Fresno's future.
Applications for the Fresno Citizens Academy are now being accepted. Academy sessions are held on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6pm - 8pm at Fresno City Hall and other City facilities. A full schedule will be provided before the first meeting.
Fresno Citizen Academy programs are scheduled at regular intervals throughout the year. As dates are selected, applicants are contacted in advance to confirm their availability.
