Construction Management
The Construction Management Division of the Public Works Department, City of Fresno, is charged with the responsibility of providing construction inspection, surveying and contract administration of all projects constructed within the public right-of-way or upon public property within the City of Fresno. The Division is divided into two major sections (Surveying and Inspection) with Clerical and Administrative support staff.
The Division protects the City’s interest in the construction of public improvements by assuring that construction contracts and improvements are constructed and administered in accordance with the plans, specifications, and all applicable laws to afford the greatest benefit to the public. This includes reducing and avoiding future maintenance costs, providing for public convenience and safety, and minimizing public liability.
