Kenneth Hunnicutt

Congratulations to our very own Ken Hunnicutt for being named the 2009 Environmental Industry Association's Driver of the year! This program seeks to recognize those drivers who have upheld the field of solid waste management as an honorable occupation and who have conducted themselves and operated their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. For Ken to be recognized as the Nation's leader in this program is certainly a special moment for the Department of Public Utilities and it's an even bigger honor for the entire City of Fresno. Friends and co-workers at Solid Waste are very proud and happy for you Ken!!! 






Carlos Arganda

As one of the division's Lead Workers, Carlos has shown that he indeed deserves this accolade. On the Employee of the Quarter ballot, fellow employees scored Carlos high in all the characteristics of "P.R.I.D.E." Professionalism, Responsiveness, Innovation, Direction and Excellence. In addition to this, he is known to be very helpful and willing to be involved wherever needed. His fellow employees' state that he is a hard worker, always practices safety, is very respectful, cares about the rest of the employees and is willing to go the extra mile. He has a good attitude and is very knowledgeable about his job. Carlos has only been with Solid Waste for about 2 years but in that time has helped out with training fellow employees, is active in the Emplyee Recognition Committee and is just an all around "Good Guy". It is an honor to present Carlos as the Fall 2009 Employee of the Quarter.
