FRESNO SERGEANT RECEIVES HONOR: Sergeant Gleim Receives Asian Crime Investigators Award
03/19/2008
Police Chief Jerry Dyer is proud to announce that Sergeant Len Gleim has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 International Organization of Asian Crime Investigators and Specialists (I.O.A.C.I.S.) Lifetime Achievement Award.
Sgt. Gleim began his career at the Fresno Police Department as a Reserve Officer in 1977. Sgt. Gleim started working with Southeast Asian gangs in 1987 as a detective. At the time Fresno was seeing a large increase in the number of Hmong gangs and the violence associated with them. Sgt. Gleim quickly became an expert on identifying gangs and gang members.
Sgt. Gleim's award will be presented at the I.O.A.C.I.S. Conference Banquet on March 20, 2008 at the Westin St. Francis Grand Ballroom in San Francisco.
