FRESNO POLICE HORSE DIES: Stagecoach loses battle with stomach ailment

Fresno Police Chief Dyer regrets to announce the recent passing of Police Service Horse Stagecoach.
Stagecoach was a 10 year old standard bred Bay Gelding who served the Fresno Police Department gallantly for almost six years as a Mounted Patrol Horse.
Stagecoach was instrumental in maintaining a safe environment for Mardi Gras, Big Fresno Fair, parades and other community events. He was a favorite among school children and adults of the community as well.
Stagecoach passed away on March 19, 2008 after a recent battle with a stomach ailment.
The Fresno Police Department Mounted Patrol would like to thank Dr. Troy Ford and his staff for everything they did to help in Stagecoach's final days.
