Suspect In Video Arrested

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer is lauding the cooperation between the Fresno Police Department, Fresno County Probation, local media, and the victim homeowner. All were instrumental in arresting Bobby Franco of Fresno (date of birth 12/19/1983). Franco was arrested for committing a residential burglary where the victim had placed video cameras to help protect his property.
Franco's Probation Officer was watching the local news when he saw the video and identified the suspect. He contacted Fresno Police and advised that the suspect was indeed Franco, and gave his name and information. Franco was arrested immediately afterwards and confessed to the crime.
Detective Ken Dodd stated, "This is a great story for home owners so they can be aware just how video can be used to not only deter crime from their homes, but to also assist law enforcement in the arrest of suspects."
