PRESS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT New policy for teen drinkers announced

Police Chief Jerry Dyer is calling a press conference for tomorrow (12/20) to announce a new Fresno Police Department policy in regard to teens who are involved in an impaired driving collision.
Joining Chief Dyer at the press conference will be Lynne Goodwin, who lost her daughter Casey at the hands of an underaged impaired driver. Goodwin will address the new Fresno Police Department policy and speak about her personal crusade to stop underaged drinking and driving. Casey Goodwin's vehicle is the one displayed in the Fresno Police M.A.D.D. trailer. The trailer will be on hand for the press conference.
As part of this press conference, Chief Dyer will also announce the Fresno Police Department's participation in the "Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaign. As part of this campaign, an Office of Traffic Safety grant will fund an additional 15 DUI checkpoints throughout Fresno during the holidays.
The press conference is set for tomorrow (12/20) at 11:00 a.m. on the corner of Fresno and M Streets.
***An informational DUI checkpoint will be set up at M and Fresno Streets, weather permitting. If it is raining, the press conference will be relocated to the Annex Main Training Room.***
