Officer Eric Santos Update: Officer's condition improves, moved from I.C.U.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer is pleased to provide an update on the condition of Officer Eric Santos, who was involved in an on-duty collision on July 12.
Doctors at Community Regional Medical Center have upgraded Officer Santos from serious to fair condition. Officer Santos has been released from the intensive care unit, but will remain hospitalized for several more days.
Chief Dyer, the Santos family and the entire department would like to thank the public for their concerns and prayers as the seventh officer in the past 12 months recovers from near fatal injuries received while on duty.
There is no update to announce on the collision investigation at this time.
