NEW DETAILS IN FATAL COLLISION

Police Chief Jerry Dyer would like to release details in this morning’s fatal collision involving a pedestrian at Cole Avenue and Audubon Drive in Northeast Fresno.

The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Craig Howard of Fresno. Howard is a Fresno Police Officer and was off-duty at the time of the collision.

The victim has not been identified at this time, pending notification. The victim has been preliminary described as a 40-50 year-old Asian female.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was struck and killed as she attempted to cross the intersection on Audubon, crossing Cole.
