Mayor Alan Autry and Police Chief Jerry Dyer are proud to announce the first annual Mayor’s Tae Kwon Do Tournament.

The tournament will give locals a chance to begin their pursuit of Olympic dreams in the ever-growing sport of Tae Kwon Do. Winners of this local tournament could qualify for a national event to be held in Fresno later this year, and could eventually lead to a chance to compete in the Olympic Team Trials.

The Mayor’s Tae Kwon Do Tournament will take place Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the McLane High School Gym, 2727 N. Cedar. Mandatory competition card pickup begins at 7:30 A.M. Opening ceremonies, featuring Mayor Autry and Chief Dyer will begin at 9 A.M.
