HIGHWAY 99 SHOOTING UPDATE Victims targeted in gang shooting
12/13/2007
Police Chief Jerry Dyer would like to update the media on last night's shooting on Highway 99.

The investigation reveals that three brothers returning to Winton from Fresno were driving northbound on 99 just south of Ashlan when a vehicle described as a white 90's Toyota 4-Runner approached and began firing.

The victims' vehicle was struck 12 times and two of the three occupants were hit. The driver, 21-year-old Teng Thor, was struck three times; 19-year-old SauThor, was hit once. Both victims were transported to Regional Community Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

While the victims remain uncooperative with our investigation, it has been determined that all three are True Blue Hmong Gang associates and were targeted in this shooting.

Anyone with any information on the shooting should contact George Von Euw at 621-2428 or remain anonymous and call CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP.

Please contact Public Information Officer Jeff Cardinale at 621-2486 or 978-9687 (cell) with any media inquiries.
