Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer is proud to announce several awards for the Fresno Police K9 Unit at the recent Sierra K9 trial in Tulare County.
K9 officers and their four-legged partners competed with other teams from throughout the state in job-related skills including obedience, agility, area, evidence, and building searches and protection work.
Fresno Police Officers Ray Sellick and K9 "Q" and Officer Tharen Higginbotham and K9 partner "Max" were honored as the "Top Team". K9 "Q" and Officer Sellick also took home "Top Dog" honors as well as first place in the protection category.
