Operation Christmas Presence

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer invites you to a news conference as the Fresno Police Department begins "Operation Christmas Presence."

The goal of "Operation Christmas Presence" is to minimize criminal activity where large numbers of citizensĀ are doing their holiday shopping.

Chief Dyer has ordered the deployment of approximately 175 officers, civilian personnel and volunteers throughout the City of Fresno for "Operation Christmas Presence."

Participating in "Operation Christmas Presence" are: Fresno Police uniformed and plain-clothed officers, Traffic Enforcement Bureau, Bicycle Officers, Skywatch, Mounted Patrol, Police Cadets, Reserves, and Citizens on Patrol.

Joining Fresno Police are members of the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol.

The press conference will take place Wednesday, November 22 at 11 am at the north entrance of Fashion Fair Mall near the Cheesecake Factory.
