Heat-Related Deaths Prompt Warning From Fresno Police Department And American Ambulance

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer is warning residents to have a plan in place to deal with the record breaking temperatures throughout the Valley.
According to American Ambulance and the Fresno Police Department, there have been at least three (3) heat-related deaths in the City of Fresno over the last 24 hours.
The Fresno Police Department and American Ambulance offer the following tips to help residents survive the heat wave.
1) Have a plan in place when the power goes out (go to an air conditioned public building like a mall, library, etc).
2) Hydrate yourself with WATER.
3) Avoid alcohol.
4) Limit outdoor activity
5) Watch elderly people and others who have trouble with mobility or communicating.
