Fresno Hosts Gang Initiative Summit

United States Attorney McGregor Scott, along with Fresno Mayor Alan Autry and Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer are proud to announce an informational summit on gang prevention.
The U.S. Attorney's Gang Initiative Summit will take place Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the Fresno Convention Center's New Exhibit Hall.
City, county, and community service leaders from around the state will come to the Valley to start a regional dialogue about gangs and develop strategies to keep children from joining gangs.
Conference attendees will hear from will hear from representatives of two cities that have achieved success: San Jose's "Mayor's Gang Prevention Task Force" and Los Angeles' "A Better L.A."
Keynote speakers will include Father Gregory Boyle, founder and Executive Director of "Jobs for a Future" and "Homeboy Industries", and Lou Tice, Chairman of the Pacific Institute.
