Crime Statistics and Reports
As we continue to evolve into a “data driven” organization, it is important that data be audited, analyzed, and disseminated in a consistent manner, and that those involved in this process are engaged in frequent communication with one another. In an effort to achieve this, effective May 1, 2006, the six Crime Analysts from the five policing districts and the Street Violence Bureau were re-centralized to the newly created Crime View Bureau, commanded by Lieutenant Mark Salazar. Additionally, Administrative Clerks who were previously assigned to Information Services or Records have also been re-assigned to the Crime View Bureau.
We are confident that these changes will help us to have a state-of-the-art system that will allow our resources to be deployed in an effective and efficient manner as we address crime trends in the city of Fresno.
