Chief’s Advisory Board Application Process
The Chief's Advisory Board is composed of 25 members. Seven seats are appointed by city council members, and two are appointed by the Human Resources Commission. Sixteen are "at large" positions filled by citizens throughout the community.
The Chief of Police strives to ensure board members are reflective of the community. Applicants interested in serving on the board should send a letter to the address below, including name, telephone number (both work and residence), and home address. Please include a statement explaining why you would like an appointment to the board. Potential applicants should review the board's Mission Statement, Rules of Attendance, and Expectations prior to submitting their application.
Successful applicants shall be appointed to a two year term, with an additional two year option, at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
