New Employee Orientation
Welcome to The City of Fresno! We are excited that you have joined Team Fresno and we look forward to meeting you at New Employee Orientation (NEO).
The NEO session typically begins with greetings from the Training Division as well as the City Manager's Office. Our Human Resources Analysts then discuss "Your Career with The City" as well as The City's policies on Drugs and Violence in the Workplace. Employees then receive hands-on explanations of our Health and Retirement Benefits. Next, Information Services Department employees present information on The City's computer systems, and then the day concludes with a 2-hour workshop on Anti-Harassment and Discrimination.
New Hires are automatically signed up for New Employee Orientation when they submit their new hire paperwork to the Personnel Services Department. For more detail on when this training is offered, please see the

Investment In Excellence (formerly Imagine 21)
The Pacific Institute's "Investment In Excellence" training
teaches people how to manage change, set and achieve goals, lead more effectively, and think in ways that create success. This training lays the foundation for our corporate culture of
A Culture of Excellence; as such, new hires are expected to take the first two days of this training within 30 days of hire.
