One of the main functions of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is to offer the public not only the park or facility for general recreation and leisure, but also to provide the public with recreation programs and activities.

Fresno citizens can benefit and participate from numerous activities and programs offered by PRCS for little or no cost. Recreational programs are offered for youth, adults and older adults that range from fun activities, crafts, after school enrichment recreation and summer camps. Mobile Fitness Vehicle: The After School Recreation Division is committed to improving the overall health of the community. The Mobile Recreation Vehicle is creating healthy lifestyles for the community through physical activities and nutritional awareness. The mission is to provide physical fitness and nutritional awareness to City residents that do not have access to existing programs.
