Amphitheater at Woodward Regional Park
Experience the Rotary Amphitheater!

The Rotary Amphitheater is Fresno's premier amphitheater offering state-of-art sound and lighting in a unique and intimate outdoor setting. The theater is situated in Woodward Park, a 235-acre facility located on the south bank of the San Joaquin River between Highway 41 and Friant Road. It is nestled within lakes, streams, trees and trails and will ultimately seat 4,000 people in orchestral, plaza and terraced lawn areas in continuation of the Greek open amphitheater tradition. Many patrons are suprised by the intimacy of the theater and how close all of the seats are to the stage and the superb sound.
Plenty of parking is reserved for Amphitheater patrons next to the venue. No outside food and beverages may be brought into the venue and all shows are produced rain or shine.
The amphitheater has hosted such nationally renown stars of contemporary jazz as Al Jarreau, David Sanborn, Richard Elliot, Boney James, Michale Lington, The Philippe Saisse Trio, The Jeanette Harris Band and the Pete Escovedo Orchestra. In addition, the amphitheater has hosted several country music stars and even comedy great Paul Rodriguez.

The amphitheater is currently going through a two-phase renovation that will make it one of the premiere outdoor venues of the valley. Phase 1 was completed in early May and featured a beautiful new shade structure along with concrete and electrical work.
Phase two will start in October 2008 and will include adding signage, increasing the seating capacity from 3,000 to over 4,000, building a green room and dresing rooms, adding three restroom facilities and an additional concessions building.
