Executive Summary
Facilities Management is a division of the General Services Department. The Facilities Management Division operates as an internal service fund and is funded by billing clients for services rendered. The Division is responsible for providing centralized facilities maintenance, repair and improvement services to departments throughout the City of Fresno. The division is comprised of five operating sections; Administrative, Electrical, Trades and Craft, Building Maintenance and Building Services. Jointly these sections are responsible for the delivery of services through three programs; the Custodial Services Program, Building Repairs Program and the Special Projects and Capital Program. The division employs 29 full time employees and regularly utilizes long and short term temporary employees to meet the ever growing demands for service. Private sector contractor services are used to meet peak customer demands.
Facilities' staff is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of more than 250 offices and an equal number of out buildings and structures. Maintenance coverage includes in excess of 21,210 tons of air conditioning and heating equipment, more than 2.3 million square feet of roofs and the upkeep of 300 pump stations.

VisionFacilities Management will provide quality maintenance and construction services that are timely, cost effective and courteous to customer departments. The division will establish an effective preventive maintenance program for all City facilities.
Key Services
The Division provides facility maintenance, repair and construction services to city customer departments. Managed contracts include custodial service for City Hall, City Hall Annex, P.D. Headquarters, the MSC and security service for City Hall and the MSC. Facilities coordinates or performs services at the following locations:
