In the past eighteen months alone, the Fresno Fire Department has responded to 20 water related rescue calls. The 30 year deal to regionalizing fire services would significantly increase both fire protection and medical services to residents. Supporters of the proposed merger include NCFPD Firefighters Union, NCFPD Chief Lonnie Downs, and Kerman Mayor Ken Moore. >more |

Chief Bruegman has proposed multiple plans that would result in a significant increase in fire protection. Under the Chief’s proposals the Department’s fire protection coverage would stretch west of Kerman, and elevate overall fire service to residents of both the NCFD response area, and City of Fresno. >more |

The Fresno City Fire Department and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) are urging caution when grilling, ensuring safe cookouts.
