On behalf of the Fresno Fire Chief's Foundation, Board President Mike Slater and Fresno Fire Chief Randy Bruegman will present the Boys and Girls Club of Fresno County with a check for $3,000, and new FFD bike helmets. The funds donated were raised through the Fire Chief’s annual fundraiser “Epicurean Delights”, which will be held Saturday, May 12, 2007.
This donation helps the Boys & Girls club enable local young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The Boys & Girls Club of Fresno is a youth guidance organization dedicated to promoting the educational, vocational, social and character development of girls and boys ages 7 to 18. The Club is one of the few youth service organizations the greater Fresno County area that provides daily drop-in programs.
Striving to help youth improve their lives, the Club offers programs that build self-esteem and develop values and skills during the critical period of growth. These are values embraced by the men and women of the Fresno City Fire Department.
