Read Across America
In an effort to expose members of the Department to the youth of Fresno, the firefighters have teamed up with other Fresno agencies to become involved with a nation-wide program known as Read Across America. Once a year during the months of March, April, and May, firefighters from Fresno Fire Local 753, as well as administrative staff are asked to join in classes in the local schools and take time from their off-duty days to read to the children.
