Chinatown Jazz Festival
Some events that the firefighters participate in not only support the community they are a part of, but the firehouse in that community also. Take for instance the China Town Jazz Festival. Every year in the month of September, the firefighters of Fresno Local 753 host a Jazz concert on the training grounds located behind historic Fire Station Number 3. This event not only helps to raise money for the area surrounding Fire Station 3 known as "Chinatown", but also helps raise money to maintain this historical landmark. Previous performances at the Chinatown Jazz event include "Hiroshima," "Fattburger," and Keiko & Kazu Matsui.
