Freddie the Fire Engine

Freddie the Fire Engine is an exciting tool for teaching fire safety. A fully animated fire truck robot, Freddie moves, speaks, listens, plays audio cassette tapes and sounds his siren, all by remote control. He can wink, blink, spray water, and move his eyes and with his smiling mouth he presents a positive and friendly image to young and old alike. With his headlights, taillights and flashing warning lights he is highly visible.

Freddie is accompanied by two Fresno City Fire Department members who talk about 911; Stop, Drop, and Roll; as well as other safety issues.

To schedule Freddie for a community related activity or school event, contact Fresno Fire Department Headquarters at least 10 days before the event (559) 621-4000. A minimal service fee of $25 is payable to Burn Aware to reserve Freddie.
